Why should I have Landlord insurance?
This is a question asked by many Property Investors.
Like all insurances we hope that we never have to use them, but unfortunately even the best property manager cannot predict the future.
So while all the screening is carried out to ensure that the right tenant is selected for your property, unfortunately some tenants situations can changed overnight, such as a loss of employment, a marital split, change in shared tenancy and many other situations. This can lead to a dramatic change very quickly.
So I ask that all investors think very seriously when it comes to protecting one of your largest assets. This will give you peace of mind should a tenancy situation change for which you have no control over.

Compare apples with apples is what I encourage investors to do. Check what you are actually covered for and how much your excess would be I have over the years seen many owners find out when it is too late.
